EDEN TRACTOR SUPPLY FUNDRAISER!

WHAT IS IT?

A  trailer will be built at Tractor Supply that measures 4x7 ft. on July 31st.  The gentleman building/welding the trailer is donating it for raffle and Rolling Ridge Riding has been chosen to receive the money. The trailer will hook up to a vehicle and can be used to haul all kinds of items!

WHAT DO WE NEED OUR FAMILIES TO DO?

Sell raffle tickets!!!!  You DO NOT need to be present at the drawing to be able to win!  Be sure that the buyer of the ticket writes name AND phone number down on the back of the raffle ticket that you will keep and turn in.  There will be a jar at Tractor Supply beginning July 31st where you can turn in your raffle tickets.  Be sure that the buyer of the ticket keeps the part of the ticket that just has a number on it. They will need that when they claim their prize.

A SPECIAL NOTE FOR VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are needed to go to Tractor Supply beginning July 31st for an hour or two to be near the trailer, and sell raffle tickets.  Then we need a  parent and rider to volunteer to go up there each Saturday in August for an hour or two to sit at the trailer and sell raffle tickets….. (Aug. 7th, Aug. 12th, and Aug. 21st).  In all, we need 4 Saturdays to be covered.  That would mean only 4 of our families would have to take an hour or two out of their Saturday to help out.  For those who cannot volunteer to go up to Tractor Supply in Eden, be sure to pick up tickets from Kathryn.   ALL families who participate in Rolling Ridge Riding need to sell raffle tickets out in the community– we are asking that each family take 20 tickets (more if you can do more) and sell them for $1.00 each.

WHERE DO I TURN IN THE RAFFLE MONEY?

Bring it to Kathryn, Kim, or Mark.  You can begin to turn in raffle money at any time.  You do not have to hold onto it until the time of the drawing.

WHAT WILL ROLLING RIDGE DO WITH THE MONEY?

Use it to take care of the horses and pay for operating expenses to help Rolling Ridge continue to exist and provide free therapies, tutoring, and competitive riding for our special needs riders!  Costs include: hay, feed, vitamins, supplements, vet, farrier, insurances for the Rolling Ridge truck and horse trailer which carry our horses to horse shows for the equestrian team, and which are also used to transport hay and feed to the farm – gas for the truck;  horse tack (saddles, bridles, lead ropes, halters, grooming items, hoof picks, first aid supplies for the horses, etc)…therapy and educational items used in the ring,  bottled water for our volunteers and riders.  Thank you note cards which are sent to supporters following donations, as well as office supplies – stamps, printer ink, envelopes, non-profit software programs, etc. Behind the visible riding ring and horses is a mountain of non-profit paperwork and business and financial accounting which must be done in order for Rolling Ridge to be able to apply for grants.

WHEN WILL THE RAFFLE DRAWING TAKE PLACE?

The raffle will be announced at the Rolling Ridge Round Up (click for more info!) which is scheduled for Saturday night, Aug. 28th at the Agricultural Extension Building in Wentworth, so all tickets need to be sold by the morning of Aug. 28th.
